Junior Game Designer

As a junior game designer, you will participate fully in the conceptualization and execution of one of our upcoming experiences. You have an exceptional skill in understanding game mechanics in existing games, and the game dynamics that emerge from groups working together. You have hard-skills in the area of fabrication, design, and A/V, and a passion for creating unique, surprising, and ultimately enlightening team-based gameplay.

Position: Contract
Compensation: Based on experience

– Conceptualize puzzles
– Create prototypes of game mechanics
– Work with creative director and production manager to deliver robust puzzles on time
– Work with writer and designer to integrate puzzles into the overall narrative
– User test solutions on actual people and amend puzzles based on learnings


– Minimum 2 years experience
– Able to think creatively and analytically
– A portfolio of past puzzles or games
– A grounding in the practice of game design or experience design
– Played at least 3 escape games
– Able to fabricate simple physical mechanisms
– Able to work independently and with a team
